3. What is an ITV ?
An ITV test is a road worthiness test to make sure vehicles are safe to be driven on Spainish Roads
4. Which vehicles need an ITV test ?
Any vehicle over 4 years old will require an ITV test
5. What does COC stand for ?
COC stands for Certficate of Conformity
6. How much import duty will i have to pay ?
Import duty is Spain is charged at 10% but is not payable if the vehicle is being imported as a personal import (see IVA and Duty page for more information)
7. How much is Special Registration Tax ?
Special registration tax is charged on a sliding scale based on the Co2 rating of the vehicle being imported and can vary from 0% to 14.75% (see IVA and Duty page for more information)
8. What is Homologation ?
Homologation is a process where none EU (European Union) type approved vehicle are made to comply with EU road safety standards
9. Do i have to pay road tax in Spain ?
