Transport and Shipping Methods

There are three main methods of tranporting or shipping your vehicle to your destination counrty which are outlined below.

Transporters

There are many transporter companys that will transport vehicles accross mainland this method could be useful if your vehicle is coming from within Europe mainland to another mainland location.

Roll on roll off shipping

Roll on roll off shipping is exactly as it sounds they roll your vehicle on to a ship and roll it off at the destiantion port without the use of a container this method is ok for short distances but not recommended for long journeys as the salt air at sea can cause your vehicle to rust quicker than normal over a prolonged period.

Containerised shipping

Containerised shipping is the preffered method of shipping over great distances at sea as the container will protect your vehicle from the salty sea air containers come in a variety of shapes and sizes and often two vehicles can be put into one conatiner depending on your requirements
